Who We Are

Product Insight, Inc. ("Product Insight," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit productinsight.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

If you have any questions, contact us at inquiries@productinsight.com or by mail at Product Insight, Inc., 80 Central St, Suite 250, Boxborough, MA 01719.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit a form on the Site — our contact form, newsletter signup, or video-series signup — we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that includes your first and last name, email address, company name, and any message you send us. You provide this information voluntarily.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, some information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page that referred you, and the pages and content you interact with. This comes from our hosting provider's server logs and the analytics and video technologies described in the next section.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device; related technologies such as local storage work similarly. We use them in these categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to load and function securely. Always active; no consent needed.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. Videos are delivered by Mux, which collects playback and performance data.
  • Marketing — we use HubSpot to run our forms and communications. When enabled, HubSpot sets cookies that help us see how visitors find and use the Site and connect a form submission to your visit.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential (analytics and marketing) technologies, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the Site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the Site may not work as intended without them.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, our Site does not currently respond to it. You can manage tracking through the cookie controls described above.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and requests, and schedule consultations;
  • send newsletters and updates (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site and our business, and only as needed for them to provide their service:

  • HubSpot — forms, customer-relationship management, email, and marketing analytics;
  • Google Analytics — website analytics;
  • Mux — video hosting, streaming, and playback analytics;
  • Netlify — website hosting and delivery;
  • Sanity — content management and image delivery.

Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We serve our typefaces directly from the Site, so loading fonts does not send your information to any third-party font provider.

International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers are located primarily in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Data Retention

We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. You can request deletion at any time (see "Your Privacy Rights" below).

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent you have given;
  • receive a copy of your information in a portable format; and
  • opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email inquiries@productinsight.com. We will respond within 30 days, or as otherwise required by law, and we may need to verify your identity first. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have mishandled your information, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date below and post the updated policy on this page. We will flag material changes more prominently where appropriate.
